Our goal is to provide support to those juggling the daily pressures of home, family, career and caregiving by offering a broad spectrum of assistance. We bridge the gap between individuals seeking care and those who supply that care by offering a national directory of skilled care providers and companions.
Owner and creative director, Nadine Freedman, began looking more deeply into the elder care situation in the United States when her own father’s health began to decline. As a mother of two small children with growing concern for an aging loved one miles away, she realized that many individuals faced similar challenges with little or no help at all. With new motivation and knowledge from previous work with pharmaceutical companies and a home healthcare agency, Nadine began to work towards a new solution for struggling caregivers. That’s when she started forming her ideas for Careitas, which is derived from a Greek word meaning “selfless love.”
